I'm sensitive to touch and I've had bad experiences with salon while growing up. I really needed a haircut and so I came by. Nyla made it really comfortable for me, and answered my (tons of) questions that kept me feeling safe throughout. Also my hair is now sparkly! ✨

I honestly had the best experience I have ever had at a hairdresser today thanks to my new favorite hairdresser Nyla.

Specialized and understanding neurodivergence, Nyla asked me questions I did not realize I had needed to be asked and had wished for since being little. I felt so seen, heard, safe and comfortable the entire time. Never in my life have I told a hairdresser "I trust you completely" , and here we are.

A Queer safe space, with understanding and safety for people who are neurodivergent ánd someone who understands curls? Normally if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is a huge disappointment. But I can wholeheartedly say it was even better than I could have wished for! No more cutting my own hair because I feel awkward/uncomfortable etc to have someone else do it! 🎉

And honestly, this unexpectedly was also a very big help to take a huge step towards having compassion with my Autistic self, rather than only embracing my ADHD and feeling ashamed for my Autism❤️

Nyla is a great hairdresser! She took the time to discuss with me what I would like to do with my hair and I absolutely love the result. It's so nice to have a queer hairdresser now! I highly recommend her and Kindred Kuts in general!
